Position:
The University of Louisville, College of Education and Human Development (CEHD),
Department of Health and Sport Sciences is seeking applicants for the position
of Associate/Full Professor in Physical Education Pedagogy, (tenure-track,
10-month appointment). The Department invites applicants with teaching and
research experience and expertise in physical education pedagogy at the
elementary school level.
Responsibilities:
1) Teach graduate and undergraduate courses that include school-based methods
classes and other classes related to NASPE Teacher Standards;
2) Conduct scholarly research and seek extramural funds in a manner consistent
with the university’s mission of becoming a premier, nationally recognized
metropolitan research university;
3) Contribute to ongoing program development in the PETE program;
4) Supervise student teachers and advise students;

Qualifications: Minimum
1) Earned doctorate in
physical education or a related field with specialization in physical education
pedagogy at the elementary school level;
2) Demonstrated excellence in scholarship that includes a research focus in
physical education pedagogy at the elementary school level;
3) Evidence of teaching effectiveness in P-12 schools and higher education;
4) A record of successful collaboration with P-12 schools that includes the
pursuit for external funding;
5) A commitment to principles of equity and social justice and to serving
diverse populations; and

Position: The Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University
of Wisconsin-La Crosse is searching for a nine month, Instructional Academic
Staff position in the area of Physical Education Teacher Education. The
Physical Education Teacher Education program at the University of Wisconsin-La

Description: The individual will be instructing undergraduate physical
education teacher candidates. The person will need to be able to teach basic
methodology – including instructional and managerial strategies, lesson plan
design and delivery, unit planning, and assessment, as well as provide quality
supervision of student teaching. The individual will need to have
qualifications to teach skills and methods in a variety of the following areas:
adventure education, aquatics, dance, fitness activities, individual sports,
