The
National Association for Kinesiology and Physical Education in Higher
Education (NAKPEHE) invites your participation in the 2012 national
conference in San Diego, CA on January 4th-7th. For the past couple of
years, academia has faced a variety of challenges (i.e., increasing
retention rates, seeking external funding sources, facilitating
multi-disciplinary approaches). The 2012 conference theme “Flourishing
in a Contemporary University Culture” seeks to explore how people,
programs, and institutions have addressed those challenges in the areas
of teaching, scholarship and service. We invite you to submit a program proposal sharing how you, your program or institution has addressed one of the following areas: • Globalization • Entrepreneurial • Multidisciplinary • Diversity, Inclusiveness, and Equality • Retention (program, faculty, students) • Technology (student & faculty technical & information literacy, distance learning). Deadline for proposals is October 14th. In addition to conference papers, there are opportunities for doctoral poster presentations and a Young Scholar Presentation.
