of Kinesiology is an integrated Faculty that offers a full range
of undergraduate

Faculty is

the study of
movement in both sport and physical activity with an overarching
emphasis on health,
both theoretically and practically. With outstanding faculty and

world-class facilities, an internationally recognized Sport
Medicine Centre and
relationships with the Canadian Sport Centre Calgary, Winsport
Canada, Alberta
Children’s Hospital Research Institute for Child and Maternal
Health, the
Hotchkiss Brain Institute and the Calgary Institute for
Population and Public
Health as well as provincial and national sport organizations
and professional
sports, the Faculty of Kinesiology
is
poised to become
the preeminent faculty in Canada.
Reporting
to
the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) and a member of the
leadership
team of the University, the new Dean of Kinesiology will be
responsible for
leading this ambitious and interdisciplinary Faculty to an even
higher level of
national and international prominence.
The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership
abilities in an
academic environment, an accomplished research and teaching
record, fundraising
skills, financial acumen and the ability to foster collaborative
relationships both
internally and with external stakeholders. The successful
candidate must
possess an advanced degree (PhD preferred).
