Responsibilities: Teaching responsibilities in Exercise & Movement Science undergraduate program and Health Promotion and Wellness Management graduate program; teaching load may include but not limited to such courses as personal/community health, health/wellness management, lifespan/aging wellness, or fitness for living; department/college/university and community service, scholarship related to discipline; undergraduate/graduate advisement; development and supervision of internship/practicum; involvement in service learning and undergraduate/graduate research. In line with the Missouri State University committment to diversity, the successful candidate must be committed to working with diverse student and community populations as well as multicultural issues.

Qualifications: Doctorate in Health, Health Education, Health Promotion, Exercise Science, or in a health-related field; ABD considered; demonstrated ability to conduct research in the academic discipline; teaching experience at the college level; and excellent oral and written communication skills.

ASSISTANT/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, TENURE-TRACK

Position Decription: We are looking for a dynamic faculty member eager to teach, mentor, and advise the next generation of teachers.


Responsibilities:
 Candidates must have an earned doctorate (ABD considered) in Health Education or related field from an accredited institution with clear demonstration of skills in lifetime wellness; evidence of successful college teaching experience and/or clinical experience; record of/or potential for scholarly activity; potential to secure external funding; and significant skill in the use of emerging educational technologies specifically related to the delivery of high quality online instruction.

Responsibilities include:  teaching undergraduate health content courses (e.g., personal health/wellness, community health, drug & alcohol education, sexuality education, introduction to health education, etc…), disciplinary content and pedagogy courses, P-12 health education methods courses, and supervise practicum students and student teachers. All tenure-track faculty are expected to demonstrate continuous activity in a defined scholarly areas, and a willingness to involve and mentor undergraduate students in research and public engagement projects.  Candidates will also be expected to serve on departmental, college, and university committees, and provide service to the profession and community. The position is tenure track, nine months, with competitive salary and possible summer employment
